Behind the Scenes At Our Video Shoot!

The basic measurement chart has been filled out, as we showed you how to do in our first video, and now we are ready to begin making a basic pattern.  We'll teach you how to create that pattern in our next video, coming soon! 

Our First Video!

   We're very excited to announce that our first video is now live on YouTube!  This tutorial will show you how to take the Basic Measurements.  This is the essential first step for any type of pattern making or clothing design.  Once you have these measurements, you'll be able to create a custom pattern, which we'll be showing how to do in our next video, coming soon!  Bonus: by knowing your measurements, you can also figure out those complicated sizing charts when ordering clothing online!

Our Mission

Hello and welcome!  This blog will be dedicated to teaching you how to make your own basic clothing patterns from scratch.  We'll share videos from our YouTube channel, which will cover all of the steps, from taking the measurements to sketching a basic pattern to adding details like collars and sleeves.

Whether you're a total beginner, have a little experience with sewing, or have even made your own clothing from commercial patterns before, there is something here for everyone to learn.  We'll start at the beginning and walk you through step-by-step, while sharing tips and tricks that will also help more advanced seamstresses!

With this course of videos, you will be able to create any type of clothing you wish, fitted exactly for you!  We're excited to teach you our method for pattern making...let's get started!
